DON’T STOP LEARNING

Have you ever wondered why God gave yow two eyes, two ears, two nostrils lol, but just one mouth? Simple, it is so that if you listen twice you talk once. It’s a pity that nowadays, people prefer to be the centre of attraction by doing all the talking and not listening. In all you do, never let a day pass you by without you listening and learning something new.

It is not until someone stops breathing that he starts dying, it is when you stop learning. Are you a graduate that feels very happy about not being in school again? Because now you are free from all the boring lectures, tedious assignments and hostile lecturers? Well yes you are right to feel good only that now, you are faced with the raw fact of life where nobody treats you like a student. Now you don’t have to attend lectures anymore but the moment you stop learning, you start sinking into the inevitable realities of life straight off.

So you can ask what is learning, and how do I learn? Learning is a way of acquiring information that would or could enhance our capacity. How do you learn? Well are you expecting to hear that you learn from books in the library, or a lecture in class or the internet? Either ways you are right but if that is all to learning, then learning has more to learn himself because you can learn from anything around you to everything around you if possible. Learn from your mistakes, success, fears, regrets, friends, enemies, and many more, after all, it will make you a better person.

Never confuse rounded learning for jack of all trade and master of none. Make sure something really defines you. If I say Lionel messi you say? Bill gates you say? Aliko Dangote you say? Serena Williams you say? Billy Graham you say? Usain Bolt you say? Now if I mention your name, what would people say?

A popular slogan says try to know something about everything but more importantly everything about something. He who does not stand for something falls for anything. Stand up like a champion you are. Use your sense organs to self educate yourself by learning from your environment. Late Steve Jobs said “live everyday as if it were your last” learn through the day as if there won’t be another opportunity. If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends: if an egg is broken by an inside force, then life begins. Great things happen from the inside. Remember the famous quote that says “show me a reader or a learner and I will show you a potential leader.

Henry Ford said “anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” Your future is in your hands, never stop learning.
